CADSEEK Polaris (Rich Client)
Digital Catalog (Thin Client)

Overview

CADSEEK is the premiere shape-based search product available today. Whether the customer needs to analyze large, distributed databases for existing redundancies or a design engineer needs to locate a specific assembly or part for possible re-use in a new design project, CADSEEK provides the answer. Families of similar shaped parts are displayed in the Navigator or the Digital Catalog for quick, efficient browsing, while the Search module and Digital Catalog provide the functionality to search for parts based on shape, text or a combination of the two.

There are two major interfaces for CADSEEK: the CADSEEK Polaris rich client, and the web-based Digital Catalog.

CADSEEK Polaris (Rich Client)

CADSEEK Polaris (Rich Client) is a standalone application installed on your local computer. With features such as the 3D Navigator and an advanced cache model, the rich client incorporates robust functionality in a highly efficient operating environment.

To use CADSEEK Polaris as your client, download and install the application. After the installation is complete, the client may be configured to connect to multiple iSEEK servers.

Digital Catalog (Thin Client)

The Digital Catalog is a web-enabled front end for the iSEEK service. It can be used from most web browsers without installing any additional software. An optional 3D viewer plugin lets users view lightweight interactive 3D representations of models in the service's datasets.
